Coimbatore Medical College, established in 1966, is a government medical college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, recognized by the Medical Council of India. It was founded after G.D. Naidu donated 153 acres of land to the Tamil Nadu government under Chief Minister K. Kamaraj.
The Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, which started as a district headquarters hospital in 1909, was inaugurated by the Governor of Madras. In 1969, the Directorate of Medical Education took over its administration and renamed it Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. The hospital celebrated its centenary in 2009-2010.
The college is located on Avinashi Road, near Coimbatore International Airport and Coimbatore Institute of Technology. The hospital is situated on Trichy Road, about 1 km from Coimbatore Junction.
