ACADEMICS & FACULTY
10/10
  • Hey I am kapil, a student of CIC DU. There are around 40 students in every batch. Usually our schedule get's very hectic since our classes commences from 9AM to 5PM. The main focus of the faculty is to push the student to learn by themselves as what a student learn by himself will remain with him forever, students also give a good response as they dont just cram up things, they present whatever they have learnt in the form of practicals and projects which is quite different from other colleges. In each semister we do around 5 to 6 projects per student. Projects are generally IT related. Apart from usual IT and Mathmatics we are given a choice in 2nd semester to study and specialise in one of the subjects Biology,Economics or Electronics.I have choosen Biology as a specialisation subject.

At present one of my major projects is in robotics. The idea is to make a bot that could work in the plases like padestrian market plases(like Cannaught place), Railway stations, Campus area etc. It will move around and pick the papers, plastic wrappers and collect them in a particular place from where it could be easily picked up by agencies like MCD.

The teachers here are very much cooperative they are there for you, any time.Sometimes they do come even at the weekends to clear our doubts and to help us in our projects. We are provided with full wifi access to promote self learning methodology. In every summer brake we have to do internship, people go to DRDO, Airtel, FMS, Doordarshan etc., not only that, after the internship is done it is evaluated by teachers in the form of a presentation.

There are various socities working in our college like Autonomi(robotics society), Vasudhara(eco club), Vimarsh(debate club) etc. Almost all the outstationed students get the university hostel. There is a canteen in the college, not very big but serves as a good quick food point.
