Chitkara University Socio-Economic Scholarship

Chitka University Punjab offers three scholarships based on the socio-ecpnpmic status of the students. The main aim of these scholarships is to provide equal education opportunities for students from all walks of life. These scholarships offer students to embark on a transformative journey and gain quality education.

The Chitka University socio-economic scholarships include:

Scholarship	Description
Post-matric Scholarship Scheme by Punjab Government (SC/OBC’s)	This is a state-govenment administered scholarship that is aimed at the upliftment of SCs and OBCs in the state. It is offered to students who have passed class 12th and have a family income less than INR 2.5 Lakhs. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowances, and additional educational expenses incurred throughout the post-matric studies.
Central Sector Scholarship Scheme	This scholarship is Open to meritorious students from economically weaker sections (EWS) pursuing undergraduate studies. It is offered to students pursuing UG courses and have a family income less than INR 8 Lakhs. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and other incidental expenses.
Scholarship Scheme for Minorities students	This scholarship is open to students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, Jains) pursuing various levels of education. Students with a score of 50% in the previous qualifying exam and a family income of less than INR 2 Lakhs are eligibile for this scholarship. This is a state-sponsored scholarship that covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and other incidental expenses.
AICTE’s scholarship for J & K students	This scholarship is an initiative that seeks to empower youth from Jammu and Kashmir by providing them with quality educational opportunities, fostering their socio-economic development. The students must be domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir, having passed class 12th and the family incomeshould be INR 8 lakhs per annum. The scholarship covers tuition fees, hostel fees, and other incidental expenses associated with undergraduate studies in engineering, medical, general degree courses, or professional courses such as pharmacy, nursing, hotel management, etc.
