The only companies that visit are TCS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE and few other IT companies. In Birsa Institute of Technology, some are also recruited into tata steel with 8-10 lac package..most students are GATE aspirants. The average package is between 3 lac with highest being 12.75 for a mechanical student. Placements are roughly 50%. The are quite lethargic. The overall atmosphere is quite healthy and studious and you will enjoy your stay.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There is total of 26 hostels in Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad for boys but the conditions of the hostel are very poor with 6 students accompanied into each room till the 2nd year. But the hostels are being repaired now. The hostel fees are very low at 5000/- per year. The food is good in Birsa Institute of Technology and costs 85/day. There is still no WiFi in Birsa Institute of Technology. The classrooms are pretty average, Labs are having all the sophisticated equipment but most of them are not functional. But again it is being improved every day.

Clubs & Associations : There are nearly 14 clubs in Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad including technical and cultural. They involve the student very nicely and increase their personality and speaking skills. The college fest is held for at least one week which is quite thrilling. Besides many sports events are also held. In general, live on campus is good and you will enjoy it.
