Bachelor of Hotel Management at BVDU, Pune:

The Bachelor of Hotel Management [BHM] is a course offered by BVDU. It is an undergraduate Management course with a course duration of 3 years. The syllabus of the same includes some interesting yet practical subjects as part of its curricula like Hotel Engineering, Principles of Food Science, and others.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

To be eligible for admission to First year Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) the candidate should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of State Board of Secondary and Higher Education or its equivalent examination with compulsory English and Secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate at the HSC (Std XII) examination. (40% in case of Backward classes). 

Admission Process:

The admission process for the BHM course at BVDU is as follows:

• A candidate desirous of seeking admission to the BHM program should fulfill the minimum eligibility condition as laid in (2) above.
• He/she must have appeared for the B-UMAT Test.
• The candidates shall be offered admission on the basis of his/her rank in the Combined BHM merit list and availability of the seats for the program at a particular institute of the candidates' choice. The candidate has to mention the choice of the institute in the application form.
  • In the case of candidates securing an equal number of marks in the Entrance Test, candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored at SSC or its equivalent examination.
  • When the marks scored in the entrance test, percentage of marks at SSC are the same, candidates will be ranked on the basis of computerized random numbering.
