About NMIMS Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, [BSSA] Mumbai:

Balwant Sheth School of Architecture [BSSA] focuses on different modes of architectural education,researches and practices. It emphasizes on the behavioral sciences, tools, techniques and assimilates all in contemporary design expressions. The students will be offered a holistic exposure through the architectural design and construction process. NMIMS's Balwant Sheth School of Architecture awards a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) under the five years degree program of NMIMS which is recognized by the Council of Architecture. The Council of Architecture has recognized the course offering a full time five year B.Arch.degree. The college was established in 2007 with forty students and fourteen highly qualified and internationally exposed faculty members who were engrossed in a journey to explore the “Process of Design”. The syllabus of the college imbibes the Contemporary Design and Advanced Technology Studio Models. It also prepare the students to understand the changing ethos and condition of architectural practices and designs in this contemporary world. In formulating this agenda one of the important processes involved was a review of the conventionally existing modes of architectural education. NMIMS's Balwant Sheth School of Architecture would always learn from the past, envision the future, redefine, integrate the present and constantly evolve to become best architectural school. In the present scenario, the creative leadership qualities as well as architectural qualities need to be rekindled in education through this college.
