Committee Clubs

STUDENT CLUBS

The ATRI ethos believes that true education can be accomplished not through imposition but through aspiration. Nothing can accomplish this better than club activities that are ‘by the students, of the students and for the students’.

ROBOTICS CLUB

AART is a robo club formed with students of various branches which conducts seminars, workshops and events throughout the academic year to inspire and encourage students towards R&D activities.

LITERARY CLUB

The literary club organizes activities like debate, elocution, essay writing, and general quiz, during the academic year. Competitions are organized on special days like Independence Day, Engineers’ Day, and the Annual Day. Students with talent and inclination are motivated to participate. The club also provides a forum for developing communication skills, and cultivates a creative outlook in students.

CULTURAL CLUB
Under the umbrella of the cultural club, students are encouraged to organize dramatics, music, painting, singing & dance competitions, etc. These activities tap the creativity of students and go a long way in making them successful as creative professionals. Such activities hone their personalities and allow them to be in sync with other aspects of their being.

NATURE CLUB

This club promises to rediscover man as part of the wonderful creation called Nature. Students here are involved in photo exhibitions, nature protection activities and awareness-building programs on sustainable development.

PROFESSIONAL CLUBS
These clubs are a reflection of new ideas and technologies. They share the latest information on emerging trends, events and personalities involved in designing and working of technologies. In order to encourage involvement in technical activities and enhance professional competence among budding engineers, the college has instituted a number of student chapters of national and international professional bodies. Some of these are:

  • Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
  • Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE)- Computer Society
  • Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE)-Women in Engineering
  • Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
  • Computer Society of India (CSI)
  • The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

Unique Practices

Uniform

Introduction of uniforms is yet another dynamic initiative taken up by the Institute. It spells discipline and oneness and inculcates a sense of accountability. Our students in regular denim blue jeans, white full-sleeves shirt, white sport shoes and sporting an ID card reflect the eurhythmic harmony of the Institute.

Hand Book
An innovative endeavour at Aurora, the Student Handbook is designed to provide students with a detailed account of the academic curriculum, administrative regulations, evaluation procedures and the detailed academic schedule. The study plans give an idea about the scope and the optimum time requirement for thorough preparation of the subject. It helps students organize study schedules around the various activities planned throughout the year. This user-friendly book guides the student through the teaching-learning processes of the institute.

‘Tarang’ – the college newsletter
Apart from providing a platform for students to express their creative potential, Tarang, the college newsletter encapsulates the various activities of the institute.

Festivals, Functions, Celebrations
The institute celebrates important national festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day; and religious festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Vasanth Panchami etc.

Student Counselling
A teacher and a friend...
We care for the students’ well-being, both their personal and academic concerns are addressed under the ‘Teacher-guardian’ scheme. Support is also offered to the slow learners. The innovative concept of the learning groups help students in completing the various academic tasks. Thus the teaching-learning processes and the cohesive work culture complement each other.

Social Commitment
Bringing smiles...
Students and staff participate in programs of social importance by organizing Blood Donation Camps, AIDS and Health Awareness camps, adoption of Parvathapur village school and conducting computer literacy classes for school children through a very active NSS cell.

Student Council

Responsibility is power...
The students are encouraged to participate actively in the Management of the Institute. The student council aims at a better rapport between students and the college administration. It also provides a platform for the students to discover and hone their managerial skills.
