ARI Admission

Applied Research International (ARI), Delhi, is an esteemed training institute for candidates aspiring to become Navy cadets. It offers both pre-sea and post-sea courses, including the B.Sc. in Nautical Science. ARI Delhi also provides professional development courses with varying durations.

Course Details:

  • Pre-Sea Courses: These include the foundational training necessary before joining any shipping company.
  • Post-Sea Courses: After completing the B.Sc. in Nautical Science and a year of training with a company, candidates can apply for post-sea courses and professional development courses.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • B.Sc. in Nautical Science:
    • 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects.
    • Minimum 60% marks in PCM. 
    • Minimum 50% marks in English.

Selection Process:

  1. Candidates must clear the entrance test and interview rounds conducted by ARI on behalf of various shipping companies.
  2. After that, candidates must also pass the entrance test and interview rounds conducted by different shipping companies for placement.
  3. Candidates must clear the DG medical examination.
  4. They must also pass the All India Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai.

Reservation and Relaxation:

  • UG Courses:
    • 15% of total seats are reserved for SC candidates.
    • 7.5% of total seats are reserved for ST candidates.
    • 27% of the total seats are reserved for OBC candidates.
    • SC/ST candidates are given a 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.

ARI Placement

ARI aims for 100% placement for its trained candidates in reputed shipping companies after they have completed their courses and training.

ARI Scholarship

The Delhi State Government has recently launched a scheme offering scholarships to students enrolled in institutes across Delhi. Placements & Internships : all the companies which came for placements were from the shipping industry. they hired the students as deck cadets and marine trainee engineers. initially the cadets and trainees recived a stipened of approx $500.
