There are many clubs for students but film clubs are not so active. We celebrate gokulashtami,Onam, Amma birthday, and tech fest anokha. Amrita is very good for studious students but for someone to explore beyond academics amrita is not an appropriate option.
There are 2 girls hostel and 5 boys hostels. We pay 196000 for mess food and hostel.food quality is average. classroom facilities are very good
Classes start from 8:40 am to 4:30 pm.we are provided with smart classes and high facility labs. College is very good for academic but lacks entertainment.

There are many student societies/clubs like Ragasudha, Natyasudha, toastmasters and many more. Talking about the main festivals, Gokulastmi is the main cultural festival, Anokha is the main tech festival. And for other activities, there are certain departments which will be arranging/organizing management and sports festivals. In general, inside Amrita, everyday something will be going on and you can take part in it if you feel it.
For B.Tech there are 4 hostels each separated by the year in which you are studying. Hostels are good but there might be some issues that there will be four persons living in a single room. Hostel fees are 40000 Rs. per year. PG option is available for the students who are interested in further studies. Food in the mess halls is good enough but not as much as a person wishes to have. And also if you want to know the mess charges are 48-49 thousand per year. Wi-fi is available in the campus but with restrictions over the news and entertainment providing websites. Amrita University, Coimbatore Campus Engineering fee 3 lacks per annum tuition fees and nearly 90000 Rs. mess fee. Amrita University has its own Scholarship scheme under which it provides you certain number of scholarships for the ranker students in AEEE and also to the students who are not in general categories. Every year amrita university gives scholarship to nearly 300 students. If you are not getting a scholarship to try to get a loan if the family background is not good enough

Amrita University has its own entrance exam called AEEE ( Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam). And if anyone wants to join Amrita university, he/she has to attempt the exam. They will provide you with your rank based on the marks obtained. And your admission process will be purely based on the rank. As far as the Aerospace Engineering course is concerned the cutoff rank will be nearly 5000 for open category students and the students who have not finished their 10+2 grade in south India.

Eligibility criteria are you should get 90% in Maths and Science and Pass certificate from the board of intermediate. I took AEEE exam. It is conducted by the university itself. There are no proper cutoffs. Seats are given based on rankings. Like lowest ranks will be asked to choose the branch of interest and like this proceed to high ranks until the seats are filled.
