Amity Law School, Delhi Scholarship Details

Amity has always been driven by the vision of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan to develop the next generation of leadership for organisations, communities and society at large. As a part of his vision, the Amity Scholarships were instituted to help those who are brilliant in academics and those who deserve world-class education but don’t have the means.
At Amity, we believe in rewarding the hard work and excellence achieved by meritorious students in their academic endeavors. As part of this ongoing initiative, in 2013 over Rs. 60 crores worth of Scholarships have been awarded to students on need or merit basis.

The Amity Scholarships have been initiated to encourage the talents of such students, thereby strengthening the roots of our future generation. A small step towards the collective goal of making India the knowledge superpower of the world.

For Programmes After 10+2

100% Scholarship

Eligibility - 93% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts / Performing Arts / vocational / non written subjects) in CBSE or ISC Board of Class XII, 2015.

50% Scholarship

Eligibility - 90% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts / Performing Arts / vocational / non written subjects) in CBSE or ISC Board of Class XII, 2015.

For Programmes After Graduation

100% Scholarship

Eligibility - Students securing 93% aggregate and above ((excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts / Performing Arts / vocational / non written subjects) in CBSE/ ISC Board of Class XII and 80% in Graduation.

50% Scholarship

Eligibility - Students securing 90% aggregate and above (excluding Physical Education/ Fine Arts / Performing Arts / vocational / non written subjects) in CBSE/ ISC Board of Class XII and 75% in Graduation.

To attract talent in sports, Amity University offer Sports Scholarships.

Criteria for Admission

Minimum academic eligibility for the respective program should be met, as mentioned in the Admission prospectus – 2015.
Age should not be of more than 23 years as on 01st July, 2015.

Fast Track Admission

All students who are eligible for the sports scholarships are given admission on Fast Track. That means they do not have to appear for the Sports Trial & Interview and their admission is done based on their application form and assessment of sports certificates for last three years.

Admission through Sports Trial & Interview

Selection will be based on Sports trial & Interview in addition to Application & Assessment of Sports certificates for last three years
25% Scholarship - National Participation*

World championships under International Sports Federation (IOA and / or MYAS recognized / affiliated Games)
Asian Games by Olympic Council of Asia
Asian Championship organized by International Federation of concerned game (recongnized / affiliated by MYAS and / or IOA)
Commonwealth Games, S.A.F. Games and Afro Asian Games.
Paralympics Games (recognized / affiliated by IOC and / or MYAS)
In absence of relevant Sports certificates Scholarship application will not be considered.

CONTINUATION OF SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship is granted on annual basis and continuation in second and further years of the program is subject to scholarship policy. To continue availing 100% scholarship student must secure position in top 5% of the merit list for the program. For continuation of 50% scholarship, student will have to secure position in top 10% of the merit list for the program.

PERFORMANCE MONITORING

All candidates selected under sports quota will have to submit an affidavit stating that they will participate / represent only from AUUP.
Achievements in their sports (basis for grant of sports quota scholarship) will be monitored by University Sports committee)

The following students have been awarded scholarship as detailed below for the Post Graduate Studies abroad:

  • Mr. Sujoy Bhatia - "Chief Justice Scholarship" for students from India (only one scholarship is awarded for the Indian students in a year) by the University College of London.
  • Mr. Avinash Sharma - £10,000/- scholarship for post graduate studies in London School of Economics.
  • Mr. Chetan Gupta - Kokil Pathak Scholarship for pursuing B.Cl at Exeter College, Oxford.
  • Mr. Divyam Aggarwal - £ 3000/- scholarship for studying in London School of Economics.
  • Mr. Ashish Rana – US $ 35,000/- scholarship for studying at National Law University, Singapore.
  • Ms. Ankshita Jha – US $ 35,000/- for studying in National Law University, Singapore.
  • Ms. Deeksha Sharma was awarded full scholarship covering full fees, boarding & lodging, stipend and airfare, for studying in the National Law University, Singapore.
  • Mr. Shaunak Kashyap – Awarded full scholarship for studying in the National University of Singapore

Fees & Scholarships : For the first year the fee is around 83k, and second year onwards the fee keeps on decreasing. As in my knowledge no scholarship is available to anyone. According to me loans are not needed as the fees is quite manageable.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The student must pass the 12th grade with good percentage. IPU CET is the entrance exam to get the admission in this college.

Academics & Faculty : Strict study schedule, classes are one hour each and the classes are taken regularly. Bunking isn't allowed muchand also strictness as far as attendance goes.
