The college has been formed with the aim of imparting advanced and fruitful education at low costs to all strata’s of the society. All the managers and faculty of the institution understand and are aware of the importance of medical and technical institution. Objectives

1. To provide standard technical education at affordable cost.

2. To provide infrastructure, latest technical aids, experienced faculty & clinical training as per I.N.C. norms.

3. To prepare nurse clinicians for bedside & family care nursing, nursing supervision and nursing administration.

4. To prepare the nurses for the role of teacher, supervisor & manager in clinical/community health settings.

5. To prepare nursing teachers to train Multipurpose Health Workers, General Nurse Midwives (GNM) and for University level nursing education.

6. To prepare Nursing personal to conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.

7. To prepare nursing personnel to develop nursing literature.

Admissions :

B.Sc Nursing

Eligibility Criteria

Admission criteria and Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Individually and must have obtained a 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Or Candidate has passed 10+2 examination in any stream other than science and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in a paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

Lateral Entry: Candidate is eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year of B.Sc. course, if he/she has passed 10+2 (Science) and holding 2 years full time regular diploma in paramedical subject from a recognized medical college only.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Eligibility Criteria

Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or on equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose.

Obtained a certificate in General nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council.

Candidates shall be medically fit.

M.Sc Nursing

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

The minimum educational qualification shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.)Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.

Minimum one year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing.

Minimum one year of work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.

Candidates shall be medically fit.

Clinical Training :

 

For clinical training of nursing students, our college is attached with Rajendra Hospital, Patiala & Columbia Asia Hospital, Patiala. Rajendra Hospital, Patiala is one of the oldest and premier institute of Medical studies in Northern India. It has about 1000 beds and has facility to provide training in all subjects.

Rural Training :

For rural training students go to Primary health center Bhadson AND Primary Health Centre Dhanthal.
