CBSE Sports Calendar 2025-26: Dates, Registration, Games List

The CBSE board conducts sports competitions in various categories at cluster, zonal, and national levels, where young students can participate. The board has released the notification of the sports calendar for CBSE games 2025-26 along with the circular.

Registration for organizing CBSE games at the cluster, zonal, or national level will be conducted from August 1 to August 14, 2025. Earlier, the online proposal by schools was available from July 23, 2025, to July 31, 2025. 

According to the CBSE sports calendar 2025-26, the dates for the cluster-level games competitions are scheduled from July 1 to August 31, 2025. The national-level games will be conducted from September 1 to September 30, 2025.

Candidates who compete at the cluster and zonal levels will qualify for the national-level games in their respective categories. Students must apply online on the official website within the deadlines set by the board.

CBSE authorities have issued a circular regarding the Khelo India Games and SGFI National School Games on the official website. The sports calendar will be published in the last week of August 2025.

CBSE Sports Competition 2025-26 Registration

CBSE sports competition 2025-26 registration portal will open on the official website - cbse.gov.in. As per the CBSE sports calendar 2025-26, the online registration portal will be available from September 1, 2025, to September 14, 2025.

The Department of Education introduced an online registration process for young people curious about participating in sports across the country. There are over 24 games available for children of all ages and grade levels. Students must apply online and follow the steps given below for successful registration.

• Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of CBSE i.e, cbse.gov.in.
• Step 2: Participants must navigate through the website and click on the “Apply to Participate’ button.
• Step 3: Students must register by providing the details and entering the captcha code.
• Step 4: Candidates must log in to the candidate portal after registration.

CBSE Sports Competition Application Process 2025-26

The CBSE sports application process is held online on the official webpage, and students are expected to apply within the deadlines. The Central Board of Secondary Education encourages applications for games competitions at cluster, zonal, and national levels. Students can follow the steps given below for successful application submission.

• Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of CBSE i.e., www.cbse.gov.in. and check their school affiliation.
• Step 2: Students must log in to the candidate portal using their username and password and click on the “Apply to Participate” button.
• Step 3: Candidates must select the sports they are interested in participating in on behalf of their school.
• Step 4: Students must pay a deposit amount as an entry fee to participate in the CBSE Sports games. Candidates have to additionally pay an amount of INR 700 after 7 days of deadlines and INR 1000 after 8 to 10 days of deadlines as late fees.
• Step 5: Candidates must check all the details and click on the submit button.
• Step 6: The school will receive a confirmation email regarding the candidates' participation in the CBSE sports 2025-26.
