SNAP Selection Process: WAT/GEPI Rounds, Check Detailed Admission Process

The exam score is the primary admission criteria for Symbiosis International (Deemed) University's MBA programs. The SNAP exam selection process includes the SNAP 2025 score, Group Exercise (GE), and Personal Interaction (PI). SNAP shortlisting for SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune, and other SIU colleges will take place in the second or third week of January 2026, following the announcement of the SNAP 2025 results. The GE-PI round will take place in February 2026. 

The SNAP 2025 examination will be held on December 6, 14, and 21, 2025.  If you wish to pursue an MBA at SIBM Pune or any other SIBM institute must register for and take the SNAP 2025 exam. No other entrance exam score is accepted by these institutes for MBA admission.

Detailed SNAP Admission Process

After qualifying for SNAP 2025, selected candidates will be invited to the GE-PIWAT, or Group Exercise, Personal Interaction, and Writing Ability Test. If you are applying for postgraduate programs at Symbiosis International (Deemed) University's participating colleges, you must complete the SIU Selection Process. It is important to note that each institute has its own admissions process. The step-by-step process is given below.

Step 1: Take the SNAP exam.

Step 2: Following the announcement of the results, candidates must register for the next rounds.

Step 3: You must register independently for the subsequent stages with the participating institutes. It should be noted that passing the SNAP 2025 entrance exam does not guarantee admission to any of SIU's partner colleges.

Step 4: To get entrance, you must also pass Stage 2.

Step 5: Participating institutes manage admissions separately for each program they offer.

SNAP Written Ability Test (WAT)

The written ability test is the final round of the SNAP admission criteria 2025, and it carries ten points.

• You will be assigned a topic and instructed to compose an essay. It will be in pen-and-paper format.
• Your grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills will be evaluated.
• This stage of SNAP selection criteria tests your writing skills, as well as your knowledge and insights into the chosen subject.

SNAP Group Exercise (GE)

This is the initial round of the selecting process.

• Your abilities and potential will be evaluated through group exercises.

• Approximately 7-8 candidates will be divided into groups and asked to discuss the assigned topic for 15-20 minutes.

SNAP Personal Interview (PI)

SNAP Personal Interview is the final element in the procedure, with a total weightage of 30 marks. The SNAP entrance criteria include that you must have confidence, inventiveness, and a creative mindset.

Academic excellence will also be taken into account when shortlisting candidates for PI positions.

• Selected GE candidates will be invited to a personal interaction round.
• This is mostly used to assess your interpersonal skills and confidence.

SNAP GDPI Parameters and Weightage

The SNAP final merit list of selected candidates is compiled based on their performance in each selection phase. You are marked in each round, and a composite score is calculated for each one.
