15 Nov 2016 Rating :
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The daily routine is highly monotonous. Most of the time goes wasted. Timings are from 8:15 to 3:30. No serious efforts are put by students on the project. An assignment is given on regular basis. The majority of teachers are unwilling to teach as in most Engg. colleges. Some teachers really teach well. But don't depend on teachers for studying. Sometimes we doubt their capabilities , btw it's most of the time . My experience is average. The best thing about MAIT us you get enough time to carry your own research, projects, and startups. The environment isn't very healthy. Few clubs like dotC, IEEE, CSI, Aura etc. are good.
Tarun B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics), batch of 2017
20 Oct 2016 Rating :
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • MAIT is a two shift college (morning and evening) and the timings are 8 AM - 4 PM and 11 AM -7 PM for morning and evening shift respectively. There are 2 sessionals and one end term examination in each semester.
  • The end term weight is 75 marks and the two sessionals combined weigh 20 marks and remaining 5 marks are for assignments, attendance, behaviour, etc.
  • The faculties are good and are qualified from premier institutions of India namely IIT's, DTU, NSIT, NIT's, etc.
  • Still, the faculties are best here having ample industrial experience. The faculties here are frank and easy to talk to. The college as a whole is good for whom are keen to do studies and it's not enforced onto the students.
  • The students are at freedom to study on their on or wanna study from faculties, as the attendance scenario is quite smooth to deal with.
CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS:
  • The college has all the popular societies, clubs, institutions, and cells. Namely IEEE, EDC, SAE, CSI, GOOGLE Developers, Eco-clubs, Dance society (Funk in Motion, Aura, etc.), Drama society (Delhi's famous Aayaam), Literature society, etc.
  • Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology organizes its annual fest Tech Surge and Mridang. Which is host to many cultural, technical, and non-technical events. It is the time where the college springs into a carnival and festive mood.
Sahib B.Tech (Information Technology), batch of 2014
19 Jul 2016 Rating :
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Our classes usually start from 8:15 am every day. Some days there are classes/lectures and on the others there are labs. These go upto 3:45 pm. We are given assignments on a weekly basis roughly and are evaluated bases on their quality. There are 2 unit exams held each after 1.5 months from the starting of the semester and one end term examination as usual.
  • The quality of teaching as is with any other IP college is 'ok'. There are enough teachers and they are able to clear are doubts.
  • The overall teaching experience though is quite average. The college has a big campus.
Jigyasa B.Tech (Computer), batch of 2020
15 Jul 2016 Rating :
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • We have two shifts. First shift is from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm and the second is from 12 pm to 7 pm. Lecture duration is one hour and we get a half an hour break in between. We have daily labs which accounts for two to three lecture periods. Rare or no projects. Along with the university exams, we have one or two internals of lesser syllabus just like school unit tests.
  • Quality of teaching varies from teacher to teacher. Some strictly follow the curriculum while others teach subjects to the depth which enhances the quality.
  • The experience is average considering the fact that teaching could have been way better. Many a times, we are not even sure of the chapters from the prescribed books a week before the exams.
