MAIT offers 180 programmes to high-performing students, in its humble campus. Aspirants can avail provisions such as clean boys hostel, a full-equipped computer centre, a gymnasium and more. 

Given its stature, MAIT has an impressive placement rate ranging from 100% to 95%. Students effortlessly acquire jobs in much coveted posts in various national and international organisations, through the placement cell. The faculty is well qualified and approachable. However, students feel the course curriculum is not updated, and authorities need to upgrade the course structures.

Neat and Compact Campus

When one thinks of an engineering or management college, most colleges these days offer ample infrastructural support to enhance the learning experience of students. However, at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology students feel a void when it comes to access to latest technological equipment or innovation centres. 

Although, students have access to fully-functional laboratories to carry out practical assignments, a rich resourceful library, hostels with ethernet services, computer centre with well-maintained systems, two auditoriums with a capacity of 970 heads etc. Altogether, the campus is speckless, and authorities take active efforts to maintain the campus buildings and infrastructure.

Pronounced Academic Records

Currently, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology runs 180 programs including Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical courses and MBA courses. Authorities need to step up to update the course curriculum, as students feel that the syllabus for a few courses have evolved, and the college is lagging behind. 

The college has an excellent faculty, with good academic pedigree who make learning at MAIT captivating. Students have had an overall positive experience with the teaching staff. The Institute houses teachers with 10 to 20 years of industry experience, which is crucial when teaching technical subjects. 

Students have also highlighted the commendable teaching methodologies used by the teachers to explain concepts using analogies which sets the University apart from the rest of colleges using only books and assignments. Moreover faculty is always available to take special cases in case students are facing difficulties understanding certain topics. 

Exams are conducted twice a semester, with difficulty level of the paper ranging from moderate to difficult, therefore graduates have advised current college-goers to channel their energies towards studies. Lastly, the fees for engineering and MBA courses are much lower compared to other tier II institutes. Students have rated the college high on the return on investment scale. 

Diversity and Inclusion Factor at MAIT

Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology follows the best practices to maintain an inclusive and diverse atmosphere in the college. Students are sensitive and aware towards fellow North Eastern students, since the community has shared their fair share of racial discrimination in Northern India. 

The college also has active cells to encounter problems or queries of students from SC/ST/OBC and North East states specifically. With these constant efforts in making the college more accessible to students from all walks of life, they have successfully generated a pleasant learning atmosphere. Semi-weekly Dress Code

Students have to maintain a dress code at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology twice a week, which entails wearing black and white formal wear. For the rest of the week students are free to wear casuals on campus. It is mandatory for candidates to show up only in modest attire to the campus, so that the overall decorum of the Institute is sustained.

No-strict Rules 

The campus life at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology is relaxed, and there are no general guidelines for students to follow as such. However, the college expects students to abide by rules of Anti-ragging cell and Diversity and Inclusion policies. 

At Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, college-goers must have a disciplined outlook and they help support their peers and college management in the upkeep of the college status. Attendance policies are also liberal at MAIT. There is no 100% attendance mandate. However, it is advised to attend lectures to stay up-to-date with the syllabus and important topics. 

Comfortable Hostel and Food 

Hostel accommodation is provided by MAIT on a first-come-first serve basis. Students enjoy the mess food, and feel that the hostel environment is apt for studies. Moreover, the biggest advantage of availing the MAIT accommodation services is the buzzing college-life one will experience, where they can interact with over 300 students during their tenure. 

However, readers must note that at the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, there is only a boys hostel and female students must take a PG off-campus. The mess serves vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner. Non-veg food items are prohibited on campus. 

Students are barred from visiting rooftops of any buildings, keeping pets and stepping outside the hostel after 10.30 PM. Gambling, Alcohol, Tobacco and Narcotics are a strict non-no in the hostel premises. 

Finally, here’s the review the hostel and mess charges below. For a standard hostel with basic amenities, the charges seem slightly unreasonable to students.
