Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology B.Tech Admission - Eligibility, Fees, and Admission Criteria

In order to seek admission to B.Tech, applicants need to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), conducted for admission to various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. The college runs a common entrance test (CET) to make the selection for B.Tech admission. The candidates are selected as per the performance in CET along with the marks obtained in JEE by them. The eligibility criteria for engineering courses is as below.

  • The candidate should have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent. 
  • Candidates must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.
  • All applicants are required to appear in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper 1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit/rank in the JEE.

The college offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a duration of two years. The capacity intake of the programme is 180. Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or any stream, are considered to be eligible to apply for MBA. The college conducts a common entrance test (CET) for admission in MBA. The college makes the selection based on the performance, done by the candidates in CET.

  • All admissions shall be made on the basis of the merit of Common Admission Test CAT that was conducted by Indian Institute of Management followed by CMAT 2020(another National Level Test) on the basis of normalization of their scores.
  • The University will also conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of CET only if the seats are left vacant after finishing CAT-2019 followed by CMAT/ 2020 merit list.

  • Anyone who has passed his 12th standard and below 27 can fill up the admission form and appear in the Common Entrance test(CET).
  • The basic cutoff you can be admitted to various colleges affiliated to GGSIPU According to your rank scored in CET. If you are from Delhi you can have an upper hand on the students coming from out Delhi region as there is a special quota of 85% seats reserved for Delhi people. 
  • The cutoff is usually higher for outside Delhi region people. All the best to all of you out there if you are planning to appear for the CET.

  • To be eligible for admission into MAIT, affiliated to IPU, you need to clear Class 12 from Science stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects. After that, you have to apply for entrance test CET (code 131) , details on ipu.ac.in. The registration starts in the month of Nov or Dec. MAIT is one of the best colleges under IPU. So you need to get a rank under 1500 for CSE. For Delhi candidates, admission goes up to rank 10,000. For non-whites, admission close on 2500 or something .
