B.Tech [Bachelor of Technology] Details

IPU B.Tech admission 2024 is ongoing. The last date to apply for admission has been extended to April 10, 2024. Candidates who meet the IPU eligibility criteria for B.Tech can apply for the program through the official website of the institute. JEE Main scores are accepted for B.Tech admission at IPU. JEE Main Main 2024 Session 2 exam is being conducted from April 4 to April 12, 2024.

Applications for the B.Tech (Bio-Technology) program are accepted based on IPU CET/CUET UG scores. The IPU CET 2024 exam will take place from April 27 to May 14, 2024, and the CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted from May 15 to May 31, 2024.

IPU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

As per the IPU B.Tech eligibility criteria, it is required for applicants to complete 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with an aggregate of 55% marks. Applicants are also required to have passed English as a subject in the qualifying exam. For lateral entry to B.Tech programs, a candidate must have a 3-year diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.

Students get selected for admission based on their JEE Main scores. Fulfilling the eligibility criteria is necessary to ensure that the students possess the knowledge required to successfully complete the course. 

IPU B.Tech Admission

Admission to the IPU B.Tech program is entrance-based. JEE Main scores are accepted for admission to B.Tech and B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree programs. Admission to B.Tech in Biotechnology is offered based on CUET/IPU CET scores. For B.Tech lateral entry admission, only IPU CET scores are accepted. Shortlisted candidates need to appear in the counselling process in order to secure a seat. 

IPU B.Tech Application Process

The application process for the IPU B.Tech program is conducted online. Candidates can complete the application process successfully after attaching the necessary documents and paying the requisite fee. The step-wise process to apply for IPU B.Tech admission is given below:

• Step 1: Visit the official website of IPU.
• Step 2: Navigate to the admissions tab and click on ‘admissions 2024-25 notices.’
• Step 3: Click on the link for the online application.
• Step 4: Fill out the online application form.
• Step 5: Upload the required documents and pay INR 1,500 as the application fee.
• Step 6: Submit the application form and save a copy for future reference. 

After receiving the applications, the university releases a cutoff/merit list which involves the list of shortlisted students. Further, candidates are required to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. Once the seat allotment process is completed, selected candidates must submit the required documents and pay the IPU B.Tech fees to confirm their admission.
