Shashank Nigam's Review on Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Gandhinagar

1. Every student gets an Internship at IIT Gandhinagar, considering the year of undergraduation.

2. Most of the students of 3rd year B.Tech batch get internship through programs like DAAD, VITERBI, MITACS. And the other remaining students get internship through the collaborations, which IIT Gandhinagar holds.

3. In terms of plcaments about 85 % to 95 % of students get jobs every year.

4. Average Salary at IIT Gandhinagar is around 8 LPA.

5. Size of the Alumni network is not very big because of it is a new university.   

1. Infrastructue is under construction.

2. In the upcoming years we will definitely have a very big campus of 450 acres.

3. Total investment that is reserved for the campus is around Rs. 1200 crores.

1. Academic Curicullum of IIT Gandhinagar has been designed after a lot of research and feedbacks, done on other universities either in India or overseas.
2. Our curicullum focuses on the development of an engineers from all aspects like Engineering studies, Ethics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship, personal growth etc.
3.  In a span of 4 years in B.Tech we have 8 courses only for Humanities and Social Sciences, 2 Courses on Basic Sciences and 4 open Electives that can be done in any one of the fields from Entrepreneurship, Computer Sciences, Cognitive Science etc.
4. We as IIT Gandhinagar believe in INNOVATION.
5. Professors are highly enthusiatic and are friendly as well.

1. Different types of Scholarships are available to different types of students for example Merit-Cum-Means scholarship is available for the students whose family income is below Rs. 4 Lakhs.

2. Scholarships are also available on the CPI criteria (Persons with very high scores in the semester get this scholarship).

3. Every student have a Medical Insurance.

4. In IIT Gandhinagar students can get Loans at zero interest rate for reasonable purposes.
