I had to get through so many adversities to find a seat for myself. The first and most important thing is to secure a good percentage in the 12th, which will give you an upper hand later on in the KCET (Karnataka common entrance test) rankings. Anything between 85 to 100 is a healthy number. The next step would be to score well in the KCET in the three core subjects (physics, chemistry, and maths). It is recommended to go through the previous model papers before proceeding with the test. Anything above 70% is a good score in KCET. Taking into consideration both the boards and the entrance score, a ranking is provided to the student. You could argue that anything below 20k is a good rank, but to get to a college like SJCE, you need to secure below 10k.
