the college has a great impact on academics and a great placement rate at some of the best companies. The college also provides a finishing school training program by Campus Credentials known for their great aptitude training programs which help the students study for their aptitude exams for companies during placement and also helps with the requirements of each company that will be coming. the college faculties also provide us with an insight on how to appear for an interview and Group discussions. 

K.J. Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology is one of the colleges by the well known Somaiya trust and has been accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC committee as well as the three out of four programs provided by the college namely Electronics, Electronics and telecommunications and Computer engineering have been accredited by the NBA committee.

The faculties of all the four departments are exceptionally talented, experienced and supportive. The students are not just guided by their faculties for their studies and projects but also for are encouraged by their faculties for co-curricular programs like internships and certification courses especially NPTEL certification for credits as well as for extracurricular activities.
