Placements and Internships

2

The on-campus placements for MBA graduates in NIT-K are mostly student driven. Since NIT-K is a technical institute and the School of Management is still gaining popularity, a number of companies that visit the campus for recruitment are way ahead for BTech and MTech graduates as compared to MBA. The average salary package offered to an MBA graduate ranges from 6 LPA to 12 LPA.

Internship opportunities are a regular commonplace and one Summer Internship is mandatory for every student as part of the curriculum. I have done internships at Clickdoor.in, Edvizo and GetmyUni the stipend for which ranged from 10000-15000 rupees.

NIT-K has an alumni network. The alumni association keeps reminding the current inmates about their gratitude by conducting various events (marathons, sports events, social welfare activities, entrepreneurship support etc.) on a frequent basis.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3

There are 11 hostel blocks for boys and 5 for girls. Majority of the NIT-K students' population stays in the hostels. The hostel fee per semester is Rs. 26,000/- and each meal in the mess costs around Rs. 50/-.

State of the art quality of infrastructure must not be expected in NIT-K.

24 hours free WiFi is available to students with valid login credentials. Each account is entitled to a usage of 25GB per day.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Clubs and Associations

4.5

An ample number of clubs have been formed by students under various disciplines including robotics, astronomy, spirituality, art, craft, drama, literature, animal welfare etc. You name it and there is a group of students who have similar interest.

Cultural Fest: INCIDENT (First week of March every year)

Technical Fest: ENGINEER (Second week of October every year)

There are a lot more festivals celebrated inside campus like Onam and Diwali.
