I interned in KPMG. a lot of companies show up for placements and if you're the combination of lucky and hard-working you can get amazing placements that may work out well for you.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
3 hostels, no per month charge, minimum of 95+ thousand per annum. no pgs. flats for rent unfurnished starting at 4k/month. food in hostels is meh again. it's compulsory to take the mess if you're a hosteler. starts at 40k/annum. okay, infrastructure.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
I took the VITEEE in 2013, it was a relatively simple examination. the cut off for computer science is relatively high, but that was before they started the category system where you can choose to pay extra per annum per category to get the branch of your choice.
Fees and Scholarships
B.Tech course fee at VIT University Chennai was around 1.5-3 LPA, but it has increased in the past years. I suppose the education is free was for the first 100-200 student's ranks in VITEEE. I'm not clear on the scholarships, though they aren't very helpful.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are very simple. One needs to have a minimum of around 75% in the 10th and 12th board examinations. To apply to the college, one needs to fill up the application for VIT entrance examination. It's usually online examination though it has detected centres for the same. The rankings are then announced. For computer science and engineering, the cutoff rank usually ranges from 2000-3000 in category 1. They open the latter categories up to category 5 but the tuition fee increases as well.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are the student should have 75 percent marks in the PCM and should have rank under 100000 in VITEEE. To get admission is VIT I gave VITEEE. Cutoffs depend on the availability of seats and category of fees paid.
