Placements and Internships

4.5

Mostly on my campus, IT companies visit and some marketing companies also come. The average salary is at least 5.0 (INR) to 6 (INR) lakhs per annum. Highest salary Ihas heard this time is around 3600000 per annum given to a student.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

There are 4 hostels three boys hostel and one girl's hostel. Hostel fees are quite high that is around one lakh excluding mess charges for one year. PG and apartments outside the campus are cheap. Food is good from other campuses but they should improve the quality and also the quantity available on time. Classrooms and labs all are good but they should increase the wifi quota of 15 GB per month to at least 30 GB per month.gb per month to at least 30 GB per month.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria are the student should have 75 percent marks in the PCM and should have rank under 100000 in VITEEE. To get admission is VIT I gave VITEEE. Cutoffs depend on the availability of seats and category of fees paid.

Academics and Faculty

3.5

A daily routine is quite good as we can create our own timetable that is either morning or afternoon according to our comfort. Method of teaching is fine but they should focus more on practical knowledge rather than cgpa marks race. Overall experience is okay.

Fees and Scholarships

3

My course fees are around Rs 500000(INR) that is from the 4th category of fees. Students having rank up to 20000 avail scholarship according to their rank. We can get education loan from any bank and especially from Indian bank which has the tie-up with the campus.

Clubs and Associations

3

There are many clubs and society on the campus but not much active. There are two main events that are cultural fest vibrancy and technical fest Technovit. In general, life is quite boring because they don't support any active events and put so many restrictions, especially on girls. Academic wise it's good.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I took the VITEEE in 2013, it was a relatively simple examination. the cut off for computer science is relatively high, but that was before they started the category system where you can choose to pay extra per annum per category to get the branch of your choice.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are very simple. One needs to have a minimum of around 75% in the 10th and 12th board examinations. To apply to the college, one needs to fill up the application for VIT entrance examination. It's usually online examination though it has detected centres for the same. The rankings are then announced. For computer science and engineering, the cutoff rank usually ranges from 2000-3000 in category 1. They open the latter categories up to category 5 but the tuition fee increases as well.
