I am currently in first year so cannot comment on internships and placements that much. However the placements here are great. Almost all of the the CS students get placed. The alumni network is very strong.
This is the second oldest college in India established in 1856. So, the infrastructure here is not modern and old. However, a new college building was constructed recently equipped with modern facilities. Hostels are also being created. The hostels here are very spacious and not crowded like others, however, they are old.
You can enter the college through JEE mains. The cutoff for Computer Science this year was around AIR 13000.
Routine is same as in other national engineering colleges. However the teachers here constitute mostly of Bengalis which might create a language and accent problem. Overall it's average.
This is a institute of national importance so the fees are subscribed by the central govt.
Our college has all kinds of clubs from literature and dance to coding and robotics. Clubs like Robodarshan(robotics) and Scage(Art) clubs are very popular and active in Kolkata. I am a part of debate and coding club. There's a student senate comprising of elected student members. There is a main cultural fest(Rebecca) and a techno-management fest.
