College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

The college boasts of a well-maintained building with well-furnished classrooms and well-equipped labs. There is also a boys hostel whose annual fees is around INR 50000. Girls hostel is also there and the work on it is expected to start very soon. As the college is situated in the university campus, there are ample number of PGs for both girls and boys at walking distances at affordable prices. The college canteen offers healthy food at affordable prices like 50 for a meal. Though quite old, but the overall infrastructure facilities of the college are satisfactory.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Hansraj College is one of the biggest constituents of Delhi University and is currently ranked as the second-best college in the Delhi University (as per NAAC rating 2017). In order to get admission in this college, the students need to clear the cutoff which is published by the college. Usually, for popular courses like BCom(H), Eco(H), etc the cutoff is pretty high like around 96-98% for general Category students. A major portion of the admission procedure has been made online by the University of Delhi. Eligibility: Meeting cutoff list (Class 12th percentage).

Usually the lectures start around 8:30 am. The teachers use the best guides and references for making their students understand the topics. The classes are lively. Overall, this college is one place which will groom you in every aspect.

Fees and Scholarships

Being a government college which gets grants from the UGC, the fees is nominal. The fees is approximately INR 20000 for a year. The scholarships are usually available for the underprivileged children.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I got my admission based on the class 12th result. Students did not take any entrance exams. The selection was purely merit-based. In my year, the cut off started from around 100%.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility Criteria: One must have passed the 12th standard with at least 45% aggregate from any board. Although the cutoffs are always above 95%, this is a pre-requirement to fill the UG admission form. One must have passed Mathematics/ Business Mathematics in one's 12th standard. Admission Procedure: You will be required to fill the common UG admission form of Delhi University. Henceforth, the percentage of your highest scored 4 subjects will be considered.
