Placements and Internships

3.5

If you have at least 7 CGPA then only you can sit for placements in good companies. Companies give more preference to CS/ IT branch and they get very handsome packages as well. Most students get around INR 3-4 lakhs per annum package in companies like Accenture, Infosys etc.. Do work on your coding skills if you want to pursue your career with companies like Amazon, Microsoft etc.. Around 90 to 95 percent students get placed in electronics branch so you need not be worried unless your academics are poor.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

There are around 23 hostels for boys and girls and there are both AC and Non-AC hostels and the hostel fee is included in your semester fee that I had described earlier. For AC hostels you need to pay around INR 40000 more per semester. Those who don't want to stay in hostels can opt for flats around the area which can cost you around INR 8000 to 15000 depending on what type of flat you prefer. The mess food is average as you can expect from any college mess. The classrooms, labs are very good with all the facilities you want. you have AC classrooms with installed projectors, labs with all the latest equipment that will be helpful to you.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

You have to apply for KIITEE, which is an entrance exam for admission in KIIT University, to get admission in any of the branches you want. The eligibility criteria for applying is you should be of science stream and should have secured at least 60 percent in 12th board examinations. If you want CS/ IT branch then you need to get in upto 4000 rank holders. apart from that, you can get in any electronics brank if your rank is up to 16000.

Academics and Faculty

4

You can expect experienced faculties of KIIT which have sound knowledge of their fields. Most of them are from reputed institutions like IITs , NITs etc. Saturday and sunday is off and there are two batches for classes , one is morning batch and the other is day batch. Morning batch timing starts from 8 to 2 and day batch timings start from 11 to 5. The professors are really helpful but you also need to work hard to achieve. Books are provided to you from the library.

Fees and Scholarships

3

you need to pay a fee per semester which comes out to be around INR 188000, except that you will also have to pay Rs 1000 as examination fee per semester. Loan facilities at cheap rates are also provided by banks if you are financially not so strong. Moreover, if you are an achiever, like being in top 3 students of your branch, then the college provides you monetary benefits like they pay around 10 or 20000 to the students.

Clubs and Associations

4

There are many societies present in the campus like aady, atraski, kalalight, kiit robotics society, kartavya, Rhythm of Nation etc that you can join in your spare time . there is also KSAC where you can go for dancing, singing etc events if you are interested.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The first step is to get selected by writing the KIITEE examination. It is like any other competitive exam but is easy to crack as compared to JEE MAIN. You can choose your stream on the orientation day as per the ranking of your scored and the number of seats remaining. The admission process is easy here.
