College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • The College of Engineering and Technology covers the entire Techno-Campus plot and is 1.9 km NH 5. Despite being in an urban location it is a noise free zone surrounded by the training school of forest rangers and Bhubaneswar Drinking Water Supply Project Water Storage. Close by is Jaydev Vatika, a 200+ acre public park(1.5 km) and AMRI Hospital(1.5 km). SUM Hospital and blood bank are 2.5 km(main gate to the main gate on road) A portion of a hill also falls within the campus. Bus no. 333 connects the college to most of the places within the city including railway station, the main bus stands airport and Lingaraja Temple.

  • The College of Engineering and Technology provides 4-year Bachelor of Technology degrees in 10 disciplines of engineering: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Electronics, Textile, Self-Sustaining Courses — Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Fashion & Apparel Technology, and a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree. It offers a three-year Master of Computer Applications program.
  • The institute conducts 8 M.Tech. courses in Nanobiotechnology, VLSI& Embedded Systems, Mechanical System Design & Dynamics, Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology and an M.Arch course. The college has plans in the pipeline that create planning and design courses.
  • Eight departments conduct Ph.D. programs. A three-year B.Tech degree for diploma holders as lateral entries is also offered. All courses are full-time.

Clubs and Associations

  • Xtasy is the College of Engineering and Technology main festival cultural extravaganza, held each January. This was first started in April 1992 in the form of a techno-cultural convention as X-TASY '92.
  • The Idea Challenge brings together various known CEOs e.g.Milk Mantra, Tata etc. of the state together to help guide students with their start-ups.
  • CETMUN is the annual MODEL NATIONS which is recognized by the Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and organized by CETADEL.
  • SANNIDHYA is the annual technical- Department event of Civil Engineering Department
  • Perceptions is the annual technical meet.
  • The college organizes an annual athletics meet and the Engineers Cup Inter-college cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, basketball tournament in December–January.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for B.Tech in Civil Engineering is through JEE mains and JEE advanced scores. Students interested in joining any engineering course need to qualify for JEE Main or JEE Advanced or any one of it. After the declaration of the results, the selected candidates are called for document verification such as 10th and 12th board certificates, residency proof, result sheet obtained in JEE Main or Advanced. After the document verification procedure, the selected candidate would be directed to the college for the payments for the 1st year. And finally, you get enrolled in the Bachelor's degree course irrespective of the branch. The typical cutoffs vary every year depending upon the number of students who qualify and the difficulty level of the exam. Briefly, the cutoffs lies between 90-100 of 360 for general candidates, 50-60 of 360 for reserved candidates. Recently this year the exam pattern has changed for JEE Main 2021 having total marks of 400.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility in College of Engineering and Technology, [CET] Bhubaneswar is if one is a resident or a native from Odisha. Jee mains was the Entrance examination. Cut off the rank was around 1,40,000 for general category in CET.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are that the student should have completed +2 (science) or diploma. I have appeared for the OJEE entrance examination & through that entrance, I got a seat in CET Bhubaneswar. But now students get a seat through JEE MAIN rank also. The typical cutoff for civil (general) is nearly AIR 1,00,000.
