Many companies come to our college for hiring students.The average salary is INR 8 lakh per annum for a full-time employee and for interns all depends on the company. College alumni network is very good, conduct events. About 90% students will get placed and the highest salary is INR 36 lakh per annum.
Hostel fee is INR 44000 per year. Veg mess and non veg mess are there. Infrastructure is good.
Eligibility Criteria was that candidate should be passed 10+2 examination. Admission is done on the basis of JEE MAIN score.
Classes are from 8 am to 5 pm. Very few assignments are given by teachers. Quality of teaching is average. Overall experience is satisfactory.
Course fees are INR 1.7 lakh per year. The scholarships are available for the students. Loan is not needed.
Student club is very active. One tech fest and one cultural fest are organized by our college. Life is very good in college.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Admissions to NITK Surathkal are done based on JEE Mains Score. The National Allocation Authorities called JOSAA for Indian Students and DASA for foreign students do the Admissions The students will be screened based on the cut-off scores and there will be 7 rounds of selections. Students will have to be present for reporting at the campus where the documents will be checked. The details for which can be found on the JOSAA and DASA websites. The documents verification is done and students who are satisfied with their seats can confirm it and who desire for an upgrade can put in a request. After all the 7 rounds are completed and there is still vacancy, an open round will be held where students who have cleared JEE Mains can appear but seat can't be confirmed. Entrance Exams & Admissions : For getting into NIT's there is an entrance exam called JEE(Mains). So you should atleast score the min cutoff score in the exam to be eligible(no guarantee of getting into top NIT) and from that they will take your 60% and remaining 40% would be from your 12th board marks. One more thing NIT's in respective states have state quota of 50% and remaining All India. Little bit easier to get into NIT for state quota people. Cutoff usually depends on the quality of paper.
