Placements and Internships
Companies that come in for campus selection are Maruti Suzuki Electrical Training - PSPCL, Patiala IT, and other Manufacturing, and Finance companies. The average salary earned by pass outs is about INR 3 Lakhs -INR 4 Lakhs. 70% of students get placed. There is an Alumni Network, but it is not being capitalized upon.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are 12 hostels available for students. 5 are under construction. Being a Day Scholar, I am not aware of fees structure, But the costs are high. PGs are available and are affordable. Food served at the mess is good and Healthy, The cost per meal is Rs 50. The quality of Classrooms vary on the date of construction, old classrooms are real hell. Wifi is good. Common areas like Canteens and Dining Halls are good with proper AC/, Cooler & ventilations.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The criteria for admission depend upon Scores of National Exam, admission procedure involves paying full admin fees and first-semester fee in advance, which was really uncomfortable. Entrance exams include JEE MAINs and JEE ADVANCED. The cutoff is 105 out of 360
Academics and Faculty
Class timings are 8 AM to 5 PM, 9 Hours, comprising of Labs and Lectures. Projects and Assignments are supplementary. The quality of teaching is good but there is much room for improvisation. I give it 7/10 rating.
Fees and Scholarships
About Rs.1.5 Lakhs per Semester is the fee. 10% students get merit scholarships. Loans are sometimes required and they can be availed from SBI and HDFC banks quiet easily.
