Internships is in 6th semester for mechanical, 7th sem for civil, 8th sem for ece. The average package varies for different branches and overall is around 6 lakhs.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are 8 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls. The fees for the hostel vary for the different hostels. The food in mess is good(best for hostel J). Classes have the decent infrastructure and a good environment for study.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
Eligibility criteria is on basis of 12th marks and the JEE MAIN score and cut-offs are max for core branch.
Academics and Faculty
The timetable is quite difficult to follow daily due to 8 am- 5 pm classes but teachers are good and are ready to provide help at any time
Fees and Scholarships
Course fee be/BTech is around 20 lakhs for 4 years (for hostellers). There are different types of scholarships available there and a student with above 9cgpa(except coe and ece) can bang scholarship and for coe and ece its is above 9.6
Clubs and Associations
There are about 40 societies in Thapar. This provides ample opportunities to students to explore the talent. The most of events are in winter and north India's biggest fest Saturnlia is of Thapar.
