  • The eligibility criteria at School of Communication is to pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent and a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate. Admission is done on the basis of an entrance examination, MU-OET.

  • Classes typically start at 9 am and end at 5 pm, but this varies depending on the timetable. Projects are considered an integral part of the course and many of the assignments given to us are graded. 
  • The quality of teaching is excellent at School of Communication.

  • SOC has four main clubs for debate, drama, dance and art. They are all very active and participate in college fests frequently.The main college fest is Article-19, which is a media fest. Students are responsible for planning and organizing it.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : It's one of the top ten colleges which offer a degree in media and communication. They conduct an entrance exam is actually not that difficult to clear. I wrote the exam back in 2017 when the entrance exam was for 100 marks and the seats were given to students according to their respective ranks. They offer only 120 seats a year but if you manage to secure a rank of anything below 250 then you would most probably get a seat.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility to study at School of Communication, Manipal comprises of the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) and an aggregate of 50% in AISSCE or similar exams. There is also the option of NRI admissions subject to availability of seats and an increased fee.  MET is a fairly competitive exam with questions covering Science, Maths and language abilities.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission procedure is done online. There is no entrance test for the NRI/Foreign category. Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination at School of Communication, Manipal.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There is one University online entrance exam called MU OET 2018. I had just cleared my 12th and the cutoff required is 55%.
