Placements and Internships
- Internship opportunities are provided to each and every student through the college.
- Companies like Reliance communication, Panasonic, CNN-IBN, TV18 Broadcast Ltd., Full scoop Advertising, Neo@Ogilvy, Patrika, DB Corp, My FM, Red FM, IBC 24, Doordarshan, Bansal News and many more hire students from our campus.
- The average salary as per I know goes to around 15,000 for the bachelor students.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- Our on-campus accommodation can house 200 students and are divided into 3 blocks ( UG Boys, PG Boys, and Girls block) and are under constant surveillance of CCTV and the block wardens.
- The hostel fee is 60,000/- for single occupancy and 50,000/- for double occupancy (per semester).
- PGs and other options are available outside the college. However, they charge around 10,000 to 12,000/- per month.
- The hostel students are provided with the food in their mess.
- The classrooms are well furnished with projector based learning. We the media students have fully equipped audio recording and production studio, iMac lab, photography studio, print production lab and much more.
- The WiFi facility is always available on the whole campus.
- The infrastructure is very beautiful and is one of the largest university in Bhopal.
- We have a different building designed in the form of a pyramid which is our library. All kinds of books from the oldest ones to the latest editions are available at the library.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
- Admission to an undergraduate degree at JLU Bhopal requires a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) qualification with a minimum of 60% or an equivalent qualification In any discipline from a recognized school under ICSE, CBSE, IB or State Board.
- Applicants will have to appear for an Entrance exam conducted by the university and Personal Interview (PI) round.
- The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their academic merit and performance in the entrance exam and PI round.
Academics and Faculty
- The classes start at 10 am and a lunch break is provided between 1 to 1:30. The lectures end maximum by 3:30.
- We are provided with interactive and interesting assignments before and after our mid-sem examinations on regular intervals.
- There are basically 4 exams in a year. 2 mid- semester exams and 2 end- semester exams which are scheduled alternately.
- We are taught by various educationists and more than 90% of our faculty members have Ph.D. from reputed universities.
- Our sessions with our teachers are very interactive and useful. We are taught through power point presentations and online latest study material.
- The overall experience in college is amazing.
Fees and Scholarships
- My course fee per year is 70,000/-
- In order to get a scholarship, students must have above 90% or equivalent in their 12th board examinations.
- Students have to appear for a scholarship test as well. Those who pass the test and have secured good percentage are awarded 75% scholarship on the tuition fees of their program.
- Average 10-15 students get scholarships per course.
- Applicants will be issued an offer letter once they successfully clear the admission entrance test and personal interview. This letter contains every detail about their program, and it can be used In applying for the Education loan in any bank if in case the fees are not economical for them.
Clubs and Associations
- There are over 10 students societies to choose from covering everything from literature to films, music to amateur photography.
- However, students can start their own clubs or societies as well.
- There are various events which happen in the college. Starting from fresher's party, ethnic day, foundation day, farewell party etc.
- Also the celebration of festivals like Ganpati sthapna, Holi etc are regular.
- The annual inter-university JLU football league is organized every year in our university. And this is a 5 days tournament.
