The final placement process for the graduating batch takes place in the month of January. There is also a lateral placement process that provides students with substantial prior work experience lateral-entry management positions in firms which will commence in the month of December.

The Post-graduate Programme in Management is a flagship educational programme preparing the young graduates for senior level positions in industry and other sections.Problem solving and analytical skills are honed through case studies, which are part of the pedagogy in most of the courses.
Fees and Scholarships
Need based scholarship - Need based scholarship is awarded at IIMK based on family income. The scholarship can go up to full amount of tuition fee. The selection is done by a committee appointed by the Director. Category Based scholarship (SC/ST/Minorities) – Category based scholarship is awarded by respective Ministries and scholarship amount can go up to full amount of the tuition fee. Merit Scholarship Award – Top 20 students of each year awarded cash awards based on the CGPA Private Scholarships – O P Jindal Scholarship, Future Genarali Scholarship, Ratan Tata Trust scholarship etc. are awarded to students based on overall achievements by the respective trusts.

Academics & Faculty : Indian Institute of Management follows a Trimester pattern. Classes start by 9:15 am and on average ends at 4 pm. 1st year is hectic marked with more subjects and internship placements. Every subject is driven by case studies methodology. Certain terms have projects in all subjects and certain other terms will have projects in 1 or two subjects. The amount of learning is very good and you will find first class professors here. Yes, you can make the choice of your subjects in 2nd year.
