Entrance Exams & Admissions : Kalyani Government Engineering College, [KGEC] Nadia is a government college. You get in via WB JEE exam. You have to have a rank within 8000 amongst some 1 lakh candidates. If you want to study a core engineering branch, you better have a rank within 3000. But all of this varies every year. The course fee is next to negligible. It's lowest for electrical and mechanical and highest for IT which is Rs. 12000 per semester.
