Placements and Internships

2.5

  • Hardly any good companies come visit Kalyani Government Engineering College, [KGEC] Nadia like TCS. They do this mass recruitment.
  • Most of the companies that come here offer an average package of Rs. 3 lakh per annum.  But most of the students get placed.
  • As far as internships are concerned. You are on your own.
  • Our college, being a government college, is still affiliated to MAKAUT. That university is probably is run by a bunch of irresponsible people.
  • They never take exams on time nor do they publish the results when they are supposed to do.
  • Classes aren't regular. Both students and teachers are so laid back.
  • We've got decent alumni in college.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Kalyani Government Engineering College, [KGEC] Nadia is a government college.
  • You get in via WB JEE exam.
  • You have to have a rank within 8000 amongst some 1 lakh candidates.
  • If you want to study a core engineering branch, you better have a rank within 3000. But all of this varies every year.
  • The course fee is next to negligible. It's lowest for electrical and mechanical and highest for IT which is Rs. 12000 per semester.

  • We have clubs for literally everything. We don't get much exposure.
  • My college is filled with some really talented individuals.

  • They course fee isn't a lot in Kalyani Government Engineering College, [KGEC] Nadia for Electrical and Mechanical it is Rs. 3,000 per semester and for Electronics and computer science it is Rs. 6,000 per semester and for Information Technology it is Rs. 12,000 per semester.
