Placements and Internships

3.5

  • I am right now pursuing my bachelor degree and will be graduating by 2019. However, in an interaction with my professors and some of the seniors I came across its placement and related things.

  • It's a big myth that distant learning doesn't guarantee jobs and placements. IGNOU is our country's widest distant learning educational set up and the government is working every day to improve it's working scenario.

  • The placements offered by this institute is directly associated with the government and therefore provides a sustainable job in various sectors as per the course.

  • The average salary lies similar to any traditional university across the country. Moreover, the student has to be laborious enough to shover his/her talents and efficient skills to become worthy of it.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • Well, I am basically preparing for my medical entrances but on a safe side in order to avoid a year being wasted I joined IGNOU and took BSc course. I was a bit reluctant initially as I want to devote my most of the time in preparation but only after taking the admission I realised that it's easy to cope up both at a time. It is one of the most appreciable and commendable programs set by our government. Many have such assumptions over its recognition or its status. Being an IGNOU student I really want to certain that the degree or course offered by them is as similar as offered by any private or government based traditional universities across the world. There have been my alumni from this educational set up.

  • The most considerable factor is that it provides an easy and varied approach to the majority of students who cannot afford to study in any regularly based universities be it due to money factor or time factor. In a very minimal expense, it provides quality studies along with efficient study material. Also, frequent counselling sessions have been arranged at various study centres all over the country. The faculty engaged are well qualified.

  • Likewise in any other university, there is a particular eligibility criterion for each course and one has to fall under the following in order to take the admissions. The whole procedure from registration to fee submission can be done online as well as offline.

  • Some of the master degree courses as well as doctorate requires an entrance level clearance. The cut-offs vary according to the course and increase every year.

  • In whole, i want, to sum up, that IGNOU is a well accomplished educational institute that offers various degrees and courses in a distant learning manner.

Academics and Faculty

4

  • IGNOU is an open learning institute, it doesn't provide classes on a daily basis. The classes are arranged every Sunday and timings are set accordingly.

  • Every student has the choice of choosing it's nearest study center in which he/she can enroll as a student.

  • The faculty members are all well qualified and counsel  every student up to its high mark.

  • Though it isn't as enjoying as going to any regular one but as far as studies are concerned then a big thumbs up.

Fees and Scholarships

4.5

  • As mentioned before IGNOU provides a quality study along with study material at a very minimal cost.

  • I am pursuing Bachelor of Science which is a 3-year degree course and each year cost INR 3,600.

  • The fees are negligible in comparison to any other govt or private institute across the country so no scholarships  for bachelor degree course. However, for master and doctorate, the entrance score helps in achieving scholarships.

  • IGNOU is a government open learning university, thereby, the fees or expense in pursuing any course can be easily financed by any government or private banks.

Clubs and Associations

4

  • An open learning university doesn't offer varied cultural programs or related associations. However, seminars and induction meets are arranged to spread the awareness as per the study and course.

  • The life in college is up to one's own hands. In a whole, it's sum up of bloom and gloom days of life. Make each day counts.
