Placements and Internships

  • I worked as a Summer Intern at Aditya Birla money Mart (New Delhi). There was no fixed income but the stipend was performance based.
  • I also worked as a Winter Intern at IndusAction (NGO). the Stipend was - expenses covered.
  • Companies like Deloitte, KPMG , Kotak Mahindra, Axis Bank, Uber, Deutsche Bank, Bain etc.
  • The roles vary from Finance to Marketing and sales as well.
  • Average Salary was 6,00,000 per year , Highest Salary was Rs.15,00,000 per year.

 

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

  • SRCC has one hostel for boys and one for girls. The hostel is well equipped with all basic facilities and a good mess. The hostel fee for the entire year is Rs.40000 (approx) . It does not include mess charges. Mess charges are 1000 per month.
  • There are many PG Accommodations available near the college. The cost varies from Rs.7,000 - 20,000 per month inclusive of food.
  • The college has Canteen and the food rates are also nominal. The average price of food meal is Rs.30.
  • The Classrooms are big enough to accommodate 60-70 students. There are three computer labs and one resource center in the library which can be accessed anytime during college hours. The college also provides free Wifi Facility to all its students. 
  • SRCC has a well-maintained library which is very spacious and has all kinds of books ranging from philosophy to novels, all English and Hindi newspapers, magazines, journals etc.
  • It also has a reading room where one can study during free hours of college. The sports complex has facilities for all games- cricket, badminton , tennis etc.
  • There is an entire block named TuteBlock where tutorial classes are conducted for each subject to clear the doubts of various subjects.

 

 

Entrance Exams and Admissions

  • To get admission in the bachelor courses of SRCC, a candidate should have completed 10+2 in any stream (Commerce/Arts/ Science). The Candidate has to fill the DU application form which comes out in the month of June, once all the Board results are out. A common form has to be filled for all the colleges which come under Delhi University. There is no separate form for SRCC.
  • There is no specific entrance exam.
  • For B.Com(H), Cut off for general category ranges from 97%-97.75%.
  • For Eco (H), Cut off ranges from 97.75-98.50%

Fees and Scholarships

  • Course fee- Rs.30000 per year.
  • Various Scholarships are available to students based on merit as well as need.
  • Around 40-50 students get scholarships every year.
  • As the fees are not too high, loans are not taken, but if one wishes to take loans, they can easily get it from SBI bank.

Clubs and Associations

  • There are various Societies in the college. the most reputed ones being - Dramatics Society, Enactus, Students Union. English Literary Society, Economics Society etc. All these Societies have their own fests and various inter college competitions. Various Speaker Sessions are organized and eminent personalities from various domains are invited to interact with the students.
  • The main Fest of college is Business Conclave and Crossroads. 
  • Business Conclave is a 4-daymanagement fest wherein various National level  competitions are organized and students from various undergrad colleges across the college participate in these competitions. Speaker Sessions are organized and personalities like Shri Narendra Modi, Mr. Arun Jaitley, Mr. Rishi Kapoor has been a part of it.
  •  Crossroads is also organized by Students Union SRCC, which is a 4-day extravaganza where Singers like Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Sonu Nigam , Farhan Akhtar , Atif Aslam. Various competitions are organized and it is the best time for every SRite .

Entrance Exams & Admissions : There were 4 ways to get admission to my course they are: 12th standard marks, entrance, sports quota, pwd category. I received merit based admission. There were up to 12 cut offs. I got admission in 1st cut off I.e. 98% for OBC candidates

Entrance Exams & Admissions : Eligibility criteria are on the basis of class 12 marks, basically, the cutoff starts from 97.5 for general category, there is no entrance exam for Delhi university colleges for undergraduate courses. Admission process starts in the month of May where the online form is released for registration of students and later cutoff are declared on the basis of which students come and take admissions.
