Entrance Exams & Admissions : Marine Engineering and Research Institute, Kolkata, under Indian Maritime University, Kolkata campus is one of the oldest colleges for Marine Engineering aspirants. It offers B.Tech in Marine Engineering through its affiliation to IMU. IMU organises an exam called IMU CET every year in the month of May - June every year for candidates who want to go into marine related courses like B.Tech and B.Sc. The candidate has to apply for the exam and if selected they go through counselling procedure which is done online. The cutoff for General candidates is under 500 rank and for OBC candidates is under 1200 to 1500 rank.
