Placements and Internships

3.5

  • I am doing my second internship right now at Tongue Your Mind. My previous internship was based on clinical psychology which I did from the psychiatry department of Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. The college had nothing to do with my internship except providing me with a recommendation letter. I did it on my own. I wasn't asked/told to intern anywhere.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

  • If I talk to hostels, there are none to be very honest.
  • But my college is located in Malviya Nagar which provides PG for students. So, some students stay there and it is easy for them to commute to college.
  • The canteen of my college is kind of maintained. Quality of food is good and it is cheap.
  • Well, infrastructure is quite okay. Only my department has good classrooms and labs which are air conditioned. There is Wifi facility

Academics and Faculty

4

Classes start at 2:00 p.m. as my course , which is B.A.(Hons) Applied Psychology is taught in the evening shift of Sri. Aurobindo College. Till now, my experience with this college has been fairly well. There is a lot of scope for writing research papers as the professors here are pretty encouraging.

When it comes to quality and method of teaching, I'll say it's neither bad nor good. Some teachers are extremely good at teaching whereas some are just alright.

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • Since, this college is a part of Delhi University, the fee is not very high as it is a Govt. body. It's around Rs.8000 per annum.
  • I am not very sure though. Well, there are students who come from a very poor family background. They avail loans, I guess? I am not aware of which banks provide loans and how easy are they to avail.

Clubs and Associations

4

  • There are many societies like Music , Dance , English etc and some of these are divided into 2 different categories. The dance, music and the fashion societies are the most active ones.

Candidates must have completed their 12th with a minimum aggregate percentage of 45%. The admission procedure is carried out in July/August, where Delhi University releases several cut-offs for various courses. The typical cut-offs vary, but for a general candidate, the cut-offs don't usually go below 90% in the best four subjects.

3.5 Academics

Academics & Faculty : Classes are on time. Regular projects are introduced. Interactive and innovative assignments are given. Tests are taken regular basis. Encourage for extra curriculum activities. Due to lack of proper funds infrastructure is not so good. But its developing time to time. Free WiFi and free laptops are provided to students. Faculty is good and encouraging if students are willing and active. Overall experience of college is good. More development needed in infrastructure.
