Placements and Internships

5

  • Internships and Placement are easy to get in any government institute. I did my internship under a Prof. in IIT bombay, I didnt get any stipend but for those doing internship in corporate world stipend is generally provided.
  • Alumini Network is one of the strongest among the NITs. There are Alumini meets organized which help to increase the interaction.

Academics and Faculty

4.5

  • Daily routine becomes quite hectic with classes being held regularly. The professors are really good and are PHDs (mostly from foriegn university). Mid sems and endsems are held in each sem with end sems in december and april end. The Professors try to make each and every concept clear.
  • The overall experience was amazing, with intelligent minds all around , your personality develops a lot. You get more and more innovative ideas

Fees and Scholarships

4

  • The course fee is nearly Rs 50000 per year.
  • There are a number of govt. scholarships which are provided ( although most of them are for reserved category). Also there are a number of competitions that are held in which one can participate and earn money.
  • For getting loans SBH is in campus only and loans are given as per the government scheme.

Clubs and Associations

5

  • There are numerous student clubs. Be it the mechanical, electronics, coding clubs etc. I was a part of the coding club and sessions were organized but they were not so regular.
  • Tech fest and cultural fest is organized, mostly it is the btech students that are involved in them. Also freshers party and farewell party are there  (almost in all colleges).
  • If you are a north indian, you will have some initial difficulties settling down, on the other hand for south indian it is just a cakewalk. Life is amazing
