Placements and Internships
- Since Goa does not have too many biotech industries, job opportunities are tough with only undergraduate studies. However, a few companies do offer small roles at the end of the third year.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- No hostels.
- Accommodation outside is not an issue as many people give out flats for rent.
- Canteen food is OK OK and reasonable.
- WiFi is present but the slowest anywhere. Cell phones are discouraged in class. Well equipped library and labs. Filthy washrooms
Academics and Faculty
- Biotech faculty has 2 to 3 permanent teachers. The rest are appointed on lecture or contract based. However this does not impact the quality of education. The daily routine is monotonous until the third year when groups are made for project work.
- The overall experience is rarely that of tension. The teachers in my time were pretty young and amicable.
Fees and Scholarships
- The course fee is approximately Rs.50,000 per year. Examination fees will be charged separately.
- Scholarships are provided to one male and one female student from the backward classes.
- Students who pursue this course generally do not apply for loans.
Clubs and Associations
- Events happen all year. College event is CREATIONS. Biotech department organizes CHIASMA for higher secondary students to promote biotechnology.
- College life is pretty chilled out with only attendence being strict.
