Placements and Internships

2.5

I hadn't received any internship opportunities through college but had applied for a month's unpaid internship at Dainik Bhaskar, Jodhpur. Key companies hiring at IIIT Pune are mostly from the IT sector and offer software training, software testing, tech support, and others. The average salary would be nearly INR 3 LPA.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

The college campus had two separate hostels for boys and girls with a monthly fee of INR 3,000 to INR 4,000. Numerous PGs are available outside the college, which serves as a low-cost accommodation for many students and professionals working in the nearby IT park. The quality of classrooms, labs, dining halls, libraries, and other areas was pretty good.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The eligibility criteria to get into IIIT Pune were to secure more than 60% in XII and clear JEE Mains/MH-CET competitive exams. Eligible students are required to apply online or can visit the campus with all the necessary documents. I appeared for JEE Mains in 2015, clearing the abovementioned examinations and bagging more than 60% in XII were the typical cutoffs for getting a seat in B.E. IT at IIIT Pune.

Academics and Faculty

2

The daily routine for BE IT students at IIIT Pune was pretty tight, filled with daily classes from 8 am to 4 pm, weekly assignments, quarterly exams, and annual projects. The overall experience, I'd say, is quite satisfactory.

Fees and Scholarships

3

International Institute of Information Technology, [IIIT] Pune Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 90,000 per annum.

A variety of scholarships were available for underprivileged classes. However, I am not sure about the number of students who get scholarships. Yes, students can easily avail of loans, and most banks offer student and education loans.

Clubs and Associations

4

The numerous clubs and associations at the college included Young India Pune Chapter, an in-house PR committee, CMS committee, cultural committee, and many others. The college had an annual techno-cultural fest called Dhruva. Life in college is quite good as it offers students a new learning experience and helps them make them more independent.
