A lot of internship opportunities are offered to us from popular MNCs like Dell. Companies like Microsoft, Dell, Shell, Wipro, Ericsson, Capgemini play a key role in offering placements with decent packages. Marketing companies like Byju's also hire from our campus. Highest salary from our in-campus placement is about INR 27 lakhs, and the average package offered is INR 3.5 lakhs.

There are four hostels, and the fee is INR 38,000. The hostels are well furnished, and the campus here is surrounded by serene natural beauty and has a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of city life. SMIT has all kinds of facilities one needs starting from marena to night canteen to well-equipped laboratories and libraries.

I took admission in Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology through the SMIT offline test. The top 100 rankers of this test are only granted admission. According to our ranks, we get to choose our course. The lesser your rank is the more options you get to choose from. Other than this, one can get admission based on their JEE rank or their MUOET entrance exam rank.

Regular classes are conducted from 9-5. SMIT is very particular about examinations and assignments; everything is conducted in due time.

Quality and method of teaching is quite good. We are provided with adequate notes and video lectures.
