HSSC Eligibility Criteria 2021: Age Limit, Qualification

Before applying for the HSSC 2021 exam, the candidates must verify that they satisfy the Eligibility Criteria for the HSSC 2021 Exam. The criteria for eligibility involves various factors like educational qualification, age limit, and nationality.

Details regarding the eligibility are discussed below:

HSSC 2021 Exam - Age Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should not be less than 17 years of age and the maximum age of the candidate cannot exceed more than 42 years for all the posts under HSSC 2021 Recruitment.

Age Relaxation

The age relaxation is provided in all the posts to certain categories. The age relaxation conditions are as follows:

  • The candidates belonging to SC/ST category, are given an age relaxation of 5 years.
  • The candidates belonging to PwD category, are given an age relaxation of 10 years (except for Haryana Police vacancies).
  • For ex-servicemen: The break in the service i.e., the time between the date of discharge and beginning of the HSSC Enrollment process (1st June 2020) should not be more than 3 years.

HSSC 2021 Exam Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the educational requirements to apply for the HSSC 2020 exam. Below you can find all the requirements for each post under HSSC posts:

  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in the Trade of Building Maintenance/Building Constructor, and
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Auto Diesel Mechanic
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in Mechanic Vehicle Trade,
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Carpenter
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in Carpenter Trade,
  • Experience of at least 3 years in the relevant field
Plumber
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in Plumber Trade,
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Surveyor
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate (2 years) in Surveyor Trade,
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Painter
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in Painter Trade,
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Mason
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate Mason construtor Trade,
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Mechanic
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate (2 years) in Refrigeration
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Electrician
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate (2 years) in Electrician/ Wireman Trade
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Supervisor
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.
  • ITI Certificate in Mechanic Vehicles Trade
  • Experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field
Inspector
  • A graduate certificate from a recognised University or equivalent qualifications.
  • Hindi/Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher.

Eligibility (Educational Qualification)

Junior Engineer 18-42

A 3-years Diploma in the respective branch Electrical/Mechanical/Civil. (Or)

 4-years full-time Bachelor's Degree in the respective engineering branch Electrical/Mechanical/Civil. The candidate should have passed their matriculation examination with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Gram Sachiv 17-42 The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the UGC.
Canal Patwari 18-42 The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the UGC.
Sub Inspector 21-27

The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the UGC. The candidate should have passed their matriculation examination with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Police Constable 18-25

The candidate must have passed 10+2 Examinations from a recognized institute or it's equivalent. The candidate should have passed their matriculation examination with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Female Supervisor 

17-45 (For matriculate)

17-42 (For graduate)

The candidate must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized institute or equivalent.

Matriculate: The candidate should have passed their matriculation examination or Bal Sevika Training with either Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects.

Graduate: The candidate should have graduated in any course from a recognized institute or equivalent.

Staff Nurse

17-42

The candidate must have a Diploma Course (GNM), B.Sc (Nursing/ Post Basic Nursing) from a recognized university/institute

HSSC 2021 Exam Eligibility - Physical Measurements

Physical measurements of the candidates are only for the recruitment into Haryana Police. The eligibility is there for the post of Constable as well as for the post of Sub Inspector. The conditions are as follows:

Exceptions in HSSC 2021 Eligibility Criteria

There are some exceptions in the eligibility criteria:

  • For the post of Sub Inspector, only male candidates are eligible to apply. For all the other posts, both male and female candidates are eligible to appear for the exam.
  • PwD candidates are eligible for all the posts except the posts under Haryana Police, viz., Sub Inspector and Police Constable.
