Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET) is a state-level exam conducted by the Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University to provide 4 years of honors in bachelor's degree courses to candidates in the field of Agriculture, Seed Technology, and Organic Farming. It is conducted in offline/ traditional mode for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The Agriculture Common Entrance Test (AGRICET) is administered by the Acharya N.G Agricultural University (ANGRAU) to admit students to four-year BSc (Hons) Agriculture Degree programs. AGRICET is a state-level admission exam that is administered in a pen-and-paper format.

The question papers include questions in Telugu as well, and the entrance exam lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. Before applying for admission, students must meet the qualifying requirements.

AGRICET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates appearing for the exam must meet the AGRICET eligibility criteria 2024 set by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. If the candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam and will be disqualified.

These criteria are essential for candidates to go through before applying for any of the programs offered by the university. The AGRICET eligibility criteria are given below.

  • The candidate should have passed two years of diplomas in Agriculture/ Seed Technology/ Organic Farming from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University or Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University.
  • Candidates in the final year of their diploma courses can also apply for the exam.
  • Candidates must complete 17 years of age as of 31st December 2023 with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates 25 years in the case of SC/ST, and 27 years in the case of physically challenged candidates.

AP AGRICET application form 2024 window was open from Jul 15, 2024. If the candidate fails to fill out the application form before the deadline, they can do so by paying a late fee by Aug 5, 2024. The application correction window to edit/make corrections to the already submitted application forms will also be open for a certain period.

Candidates had to fill out the application form available on the registered portal of the university to apply for AGRICET 2024. They should have a valid email ID and phone number before filling out the application form. The applicants could then fill out the application form and pay the application amount either before the last date of filing the application form or after the last date but with a penalty.

  • Step 4: Take a Printout of the AGRICET Application Form

The last step is to take a printout of the application form after submitting the application form. Candidates must enter the Payment ID and Registration Number to access the application details and print the application form.

After taking the printout, the candidates must send a hard copy of the completed online application form and the required documents to the following address on or before the last date by registered mail or speed mail.

  • Step 5: Documents to be attached with the application form

The list of the copies of documents to be sent along with the hard copy of the application form is as follows.

    • A hard copy of the online submitted form
    • Proof of Age (xerox copy of SSC Certificate)
    • Attested copy of the marks statement of X Standard and Diploma Course or Completion Certificate or Diploma issued by the head of the institute.
    • The latest character certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended indicates that they have never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and have never been fined or punished.
    • Mandal Revenue Officer issued the latest caste certificate. (Only in the case of SC/ST/BC)
    • Proof of Local Status (last 7 years) through study or residence.
    • Certificate issued by the concerned authorities in special categories like Physically Disabled, NCC, Sports, and CAP.
    • Self-attested passport-size photograph.
    • Payment acknowledgment paid online.

Note: If a candidate fails to send copies of the above-mentioned documents along with the hard copy of the application form then they will not be eligible for the counselling process.

AGRICET Exam Pattern 2024

AGRICET 2024 hall tickets were released on Aug 16, 2024, on the official website by the conducting body and were available online for download till Aug 23, 2024. AGRICET Results 2024

AGRICET Results 2024 will be announced once the exam is conducted by the conducting body, Acharya N.G Ranga Agricultural University. Candidates can check their results for AGRICET 2024 from the official website at angrau.ac.in. 

They must enter their AGRICET 2024 login credentials such as the registration number, hall ticket number, and date of birth. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the AGRICET 2024 counseling dates on the official website itself. 

Moreover, If two or more candidates secure the same combined score, then such a tie shall be resolved by considering a few factors so that the relative ranking is decided. The following is the method used to resolve the tie.

  • Total marks secured in the AGRICET exam.
  • Percentage of aggregate marks secured in the exam.
  • SSC Overall Grade Point.
  • If the tie persists, then the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.

  • Step 2: Find an option that says "AGRICET Result" and click on it.
  • Step 3: A login screen will appear where students must enter their date of birth, roll, and registration numbers.

  • Step 6: Candidates can view the result and download it.

AGRICET Cut Off 2024

The AGRICET cut-off limit decides if a candidate has qualified or not. If a candidate scores beyond the minimum limit, then the candidate shall be eligible for the counseling session. If not, the candidate can reappear the following year.

  • General: The candidate must score at least 25% of the marks. That is, the candidate must score 30 out of 120.
  • SC/ST: No minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates. However, their admission will only be limited to the number of seats allotted

Note: The seats are allotted at 85% for local candidates and 15% towards the unreserved quota. Out of 72 seats, 65% of the seats are for Convener Quota at the time of counseling, and the remaining 35% are for Management of Affiliated Agricultural Colleges from the merit list obtained from the examination following the rules and regulations of the university.
