Wilson College Mumbai was laid out in the year 1832. The school was before known as Ambroli English School in Girgaum, Mumbai and in the end known as the Wilson School. Wilson school went under an independent Board of Governors in India in the year 1952. Wilson College, Mumbai was certified by NAAC (National Assessment and Administration Council) with a grade A in the year 2005. The school was again surveyed by NAAC in the year 2017 and once again licensed with grade A.
