VSM Institute of Technology, [VSMIT] Belgaum Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Cafeteria & Other Facilities

Institute owns two Buses plying between various locations in the City and Institute. Buses will provide continuous service from morning 08.00 am to 06.00 pm. Free transport facility to students and staff.

Library

The Library at VSM Institute of Technology, Nipani established in 2010. VSMs Chairman and VSM Institute of Technology Principal have taken keen interest in establishing this Library to give the networked Library facility to the faculty members, staff and students, to get the best available information for research and reference. The Library working hours are from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm. This Library has totally 450Sq.m and area of Reading room 450sq.m. Started with 12 Computers with few Journals and Books for reference, now this library is connected to the BSNL 2 MBPS Broad Band internet connection. Latest Books in Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng, Electronics & Communication Eng, Computer Science & Eng. and General Books were also added for the reference of the needy staff and students. 300 CD ROMs of latest text Books are also made available for users. At present there are more than 15000 Books and 20 National 20 International Journals in print versions are available. Also, Online Journals of ASTM, IEEE & J-Gate are available. Daily more than 40 staffs and 400 students are making use of this Library regularly for retrieval of latest information.

Internet

College is having computing facility with latest configured computers with all peripheries. Computing lab provides high speed browsing facility through which student can reach World Wide Web. Experienced and well-qualified staff manages the centre and are always available for any help in using the facility. The library has subscribed-journals. Library has been part of internet; browsing facility is available for gathering information related to academics with Broad Band connection of BSNL 2 MBPS. Digital library subscribed e- journals like IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, J-Gate, ASCE, ASME, ASTM library online version.

Canteen

VSM Institute of Technology, Nipani has the facility of a spacious and clean canteen that caters to the taste of all students. The canteen is provided with modern furniture and storing facilities, which provides hot lunch, snacks and beverages both to the students and staff at reasonable rates. It is well maintained with efficient service and a take away counter. The College has a Canteen inside the campus in which variety of dishes are available at reasonable rates. The canteen remains open on all working days. Beverages of different flavors are served on different days. The College canteen also caters to the functions organized in the college auditorium & other related programmes like seminars, conferences and workshops. RO drinking water facility is provided in the canteen.
