• Immediate relative (spouse, child/parent, sibling only) of current VI student
• Immediate relative (spouse, child/parent, sibling only) of alumni of VI
• Ward of Defence Personnel (serving/retired) from:
• Indian Armed Forces- Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, BRO
• Parliamentary Forces
• Central Armed Police Forces- BSF, NSG, NDRF, State Police
• Ward of traffic police personnel
• Ward of fire department personnel (serving/retired)

VU provides meritorious scholarships to all the aspiring students who successfully complete the scholarship application procedure and meet the merit criteria to attain the scholarship. VU has granted scholarships to meritorious students worth INR 50 lakhs.
