About BD Kale Mahavidyalaya, Pune

B.D. Kale Mahavidyalaya, Ghodegaon was established in 1989 managed and run by Ambegaon Taluka vidya Vikas MandaI. B. D. kale Mahavidyala is affiliated to University of Pune. After taking into account the needs of commerce education, firstly, B.D. Kale Mahavidyalaya started commerce faculty. In 1991, Arts faculty was started to meet the needs of the parents and students. Students had to go to the places like Manchar, Pune etc. for their further education. After realizing, PG courses like M.A. (Marathi) and M.Com were begun in 2004. Apart from the knowledge of humanities, students must have understanding of vocational courses, especially knowledge of computer system. In order to make the students well-informed in computer system, college started Bachelor of Computer Application, a degree course under commerce faculty. B.D. Kale Mahavidyalaya had 62 students in the beginning of the college but now become a home for 865 students and that's institutes development. B.D. Kale Mahavidyalaya has been providing higher education to the students belonging to rural and tribal area.

The Library in its initial stage consists of about 150 books while today it has over 14090 books.
