University of Madras, Chennai Scholarships

Scholarship Scheme:

  • The Scholarship will be provided to 15% of the top ranking candidates, who passed the qualifying examination from Tamil Nadu and admitted in the respective campuses.
  • Scholarship amount of Rs. 50,000/- per annum will be waived from the tuition fees.
  • Award of a scholarship will be governed by the rules framed for the purpose.
  • Apart from the SC/ST, BC/MBC and National Merit scholarships, the following scholarships are also awarded to students:

  • Rotary Club of Madras city Endowment Scholarship (C&UD)
  • The Lady Willingdon Peace Endowment Scholarship (C&UD)

Note: Apart from the scholarships, the complete waiver of fees is granted to one poorest student among those selected on basis of merit for each PG course. The annual parental income has to be less than INR 1, 00,000 for the said student.
